Yesterday walking home from the train station I was listening to the album up way loud and was quite literally forced to stop 7 or 8 times to feverishly write down ideas for a QOTSA related concept. The ideas were smashing into me like waves, best feeling!!

One semester of Honours almost down, another one to go. There’s been a lot of time spent at my computer, but there’s been even more time spent collaborating with friends away from the screens.
Some of my favourite times are when I’m holed up in my home “studio” (pimped out bedroom), working away and learning new tricks. This is my space, it is my time and both the process and results give me enormous satisfaction. However, having worked full time for a year as a digital designer, while simultaneously experiencing the rush of music video production, I am certain that a life of screen glare isn’t for me.
My monitor and the software within will always play an enormous role in my working/creative life, and that’s not something I want to change, I genuinely love it.
But it will be an accompaniment to tom foolery on film shoots, constructing sets and props, crafting elaborate displays, painting huge wall murals, screen printing t-shirts, designing amazing packaging, positioning stop-motions, recording sounds, laying out publications, photographing, interviewing folks, location scouting, dress ups and lordy knows what else.
I need to move, I need to laugh, I need to sweat.
I’ve taken steps towards this life, I guess I’ve already begun living it to a degree. Here’s to having it all!!

Winter break’s on the way, and I’m itching to sharpen my teeth and get some killer #portfolio pieces. Challenging myself to a #design #bootcamp. Llama is just a happy-go-lucky scamp! I brush my teeth vigorously, but with my hair I somehow always end up waiting 'til its embarrassingly long and shaggy before going for a cut. I mention this because I need a haircut now, badly, its outta control. I think there's a even bit of yoghurt in there.
