Christmas Day was a humble, but happy affair. The only extravagance was the sizing of prawns (ENORMOUS) and the richness of chocolate in our Italian cake (UNBELIEVABLE). Waiting to get the snaps from dad, there’s some good’uns… the prawns were entertaining :)
Here’s some doodles from the interlude between prawn and cake. I couldn’t think of anything so I drew a bear. Then my foot fell asleep, so I drew that.

My hermit-esque existence of the last year has been put on hiatus this month. Too much work and too many irresistible functions. Therefore I’ve found myself bored on trains more than usual and my desire to ink ‘til my fingers bleed seems to have been re-awakened! Its just such an enjoyable and meditative activity, and that bit more rewarding than the digital methods. I’ve been suffering creativity block something shocking ever since uni wrapped up but seeing the ALMIGHTY REVEREND HORTON HEAT (HOLY-PANCAKE-BATTER-BATMAN… I SAW THE REV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) cured me. I’ll pray to that preacher ANY day!! My cheeks STILL hurt from grinning like a loon for however long they belted out the goods.
Buuuuut I digress. Here’s some stuff from my sketchbook/desk… I may or may not give these a proper working over at some point. But for now its off to visit the penguins at Phillip Island (I know, I know… Its hardly the weather for it, but I figure its my one day off before Christmas, whhhhyyyy not? On that note… Come visit me at Borders South Yarra, everyday ‘til Christmas Day!!)
